 "I am sorry I am unable to be with you today. I am sending this message of support to you all today. I would like to thank the RCN and Informing Healthcare Strategy Implementation Programme for supporting this conference.

It is important that nurses are prepared for the implementation of the Informing Healthcare Strategy, which was launched in July 2003.

Informing Healthcare sets out a vision for transforming healthcare in Wales and its implementation will put Wales at the forefront of innovative care delivery.

I am pleased that an All Wales Steering Group is to be launched today which will support and promote the engagement of nurses in this strategy.
