Modernising Pathology Services:
This best practice guidance describes
how pathology service design, particularly through
developing managed networks, can help build the
capacity required to deliver key targets and commitments.
Modernisation strategies which will support service
development are outlined including making effective
use of IT and new technologies and improving information
management. These challenges can also provide
opportunities for change. Health communities have
found taking an integrated, whole system approach
helps build diagnostic services around the needs
of patients and their clinicians
