Line
A new training website to help GPs and practice staff understand the
new Quality Management Analysis System (QMAS is a new single, national IT
system, which gives GP practices and Primary Care Trusts objective evidence
and feedback on the quality of care delivered to patients), is now online

3rd August 2004 : A new suite of national occupational standards (units)
for health informatics has been developed by Skills for Health,
working in partnership with the NHS Information Authority. To develop
units for this staff group extensive consultation will be required with
a mix across clinical professionals, the four UK countries, and the different
organisation types in those four countries. Four working groups will be
held each month September through to December to complete the process
of developing relevant units. The next step once the units are developed
is to field test them with clinical staff in the health sector. This work
will take place from January - March 2005. If you are a clinician and
interested in joining these working groups ( all or some) then please
